| GOOD NEWS! Adur "Crime Figures Down Again" | |
|
Adur Crime figures continue to show a downward trend, with a further 60+ fewer victims during 2009, as compared with the comparable period of 2008, which was itself a huge reduction on the previous year, 2007. This is no doubt a consequence of the valuable work going on in Adur with Sussex Police and the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership taking shared and positive action to tackle crime. Chief Inspector James Asser, District Commander said:- "I am extremely pleased that once again, we have fewer crime victims in Adur, which in any case is one of the safest areas in the South East of England. Despite that, the fear of crime remain stubbornly high, and we need to continue work together to reassure people as to the true levels of crime so that they can enjoy their lives without fear." |

| "Operation Respect Continues" - Winter 2009 and Spring 2010 | |
| Inspector James Asser, the Adur an Worthing Police Commander, has pleased local people by stating that the tremendously successful "Operation Respect" which has been responsible for reducing so much of the anti-social behaviour in the district will continue with Inspector Alan Lowe leading the Neighbourhood Policing Team. I am sure that you would wish me to assure them of the support of the community and your Councillors in continuing their good work. |
